Cybersecurity, a challenge for the Metropolis
Between January 2022 and June 2023, the ANSSI* processed an average of 10 attacks per month concerning a local authority. For a commune, these attacks lead to the disorganization of services and severely hamper the delivery of some of them (obtaining birth or death certificates, delayed collection of invoices linked to extracurricular activities, payroll preparation...).
A program to strengthen Cybersecurity in metropolitan communities
To meet this ambition, the Metropole has joined the European CYBIAH project (Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence Hub) led by the Cyber Campus, a federating player in the cybersecurity community in the Paris region.
As part of this project, the Metropole is supporting a program enabling all metropolitan communities to protect themselves against cyber risks.
This “turnkey” program is reserved for the communes of the Metropole, and gives you access to :
- Carrying out an individualized cyber diagnostic based on your municipality's level of cyber maturity
- Proposal of a security plan tailored to your cybersecurity needs
- Co-financing for the implementation of your security plan
Individualized support from our experts
The Metropole mobilizes cybersecurity experts to carry out individualized diagnostics for each volunteer municipality. This support, at no extra cost to the commune, is divided into three phases :
Phase 1 - Onboarding
- Presentation of the program in your commune at a dedicated meeting
- Assessment of the municipality's cybersecurity risk level and communication of the results of the cybersecurity assessment
- Definition of the level of cyber support required for your situation
Phase 2 - Diagnosis
- Individualized, customized cyber diagnosis.
Phase 3 - Proposal

Establishment and transmission of a security plan adapted to your community's situation

Ce programme métropolitain s'adresse aux communes de la Métropole du Grand Paris souhaitant connaître leur niveau de maturité cyber et bénéficier d’un accompagnement.
Our program is aimed at local authorities in the Greater Paris Metropolis who would like to know their level of cyber maturity and benefit from support.

Get co-financing to maximize your protection
The Metropole can help you set up your security plan, by directing you towards funding mechanisms such as the Fond Innover dans la Ville (Innovative City Fund).
This metropolitan fund is dedicated to supporting innovative and/or digital projects in the Metropole's communes and EPTs. You can apply for a grant of 50% of the cost of your project, up to a maximum of €200,000.
